Brief

Laurel Halo is music composer and producer known for her experimental and genre-defying sound. Her music blends ambient, jazz, and techno influences, creating immersive sonic landscapes that transport listeners into a different state.

Approach

I approached this project by immersing myself in the album’s sonic world, allowing the music to guide my visual explorations. ATLAS felt fluid and deeply transportive, which are qualities that I wanted to reflect in my design. To capture this idea, I explored photography. I went out in the city looking for unique patterns and textures that resonated with the music. I landed on a light sculpture that perfectly evoked the sense of floating and fluidity that I experienced while listening to the album. This eventually became the foundation for my design.
